Home > Search FAQ How do I set up an ad? The PetLinks account set up is divided to five
sections:
- Naming the Campaign: This is an
identifier that is used only through administration. This name is show
in your campaign list when you first log in. As you create more
campaigns, you can name them differently to easily identify them.
- Ad Creation: The Ad Creation area
contains all the information regarding your advertisement. The fields
are as follows:
Headline - This is the first part of your ad.
Description - The body of your advertisement.
URL to display - The URL to display is the domain name of your site, NOT the
page you are advertising.
URL to link to - This is the URL that the visitor will see when they click on
your ad. This is provided to allow you to use click-tracking utilities.
Channel Selection - This controls what advertising channels your ad will be
delivered. You may select as many relevant categories as you see fit.
Target Countries - This area determines what countries your ad will be seen.
Keyword Selection and Search Phrases - Enter as many keywords and phrases that
relate to your advertisement. On select partner sites, ads are served
based on search results and specific page content. This segment is
optional and not required.
- Proof your Advertising: Be sure
everything is spelled correctly. If you submit an ad that contains
errors or does not follow our Advertiser Guidelines, your ad will be paused
for review.
- Set Your Budgets: This area has two
fields, a Daily Budget, and a Cost-per-Click.
Cost per Click - This is the cost per click you are going to spend.
Daily Budget - This is the maximum amount that will be applied per day to this
campaign.
- Activate Campaign: You can activate
your campaign immediately, or start it later.
